Dunk Tank: This is a fundraiser connected to the Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival and is a yearly affair. This is a fun assignment. The Wheat Ridge Farmers Cheerleaders are the "Dunkees" and share the proceeds. Members participate by hawking sales, taking money, and harassing the bag throwers.

Pancake Supper: Every Fall a Pancake Supper is held at Wheat Ridge High School. Each Club member is issued 30 tickets to buy or sell. Many members sell many more than the 30. This is the premier fund raiser for the WR Optimist Club. It begins at 5:30pm and ends about 8:30pm. The Pancake Supper includes a very successful Silent Auction that has items displayed for everyone as they enter the Wheat Ridge HS Cafeteria. The items are donated and are reviewed for their condition, value, and salability. The items include; toys, lawn care, picture frames, services, restaurant coupons, and many other nice products.
